April 2019 Passive Income Report
It’s been an entire year since I last posted on the site! Hoping to get back in the swing of things, but man life has been busy. Since last year I’ve bought two properties, one home and one rental, changed jobs and moved twice. Dividend Stacker simply took a back seat to life! But stacking up those dividends did not! Time to see what I’ve been up to the last year!
My Roth IRA has had some nice steady growth since keeping track of my income. I’ve added contributions as well as selectively reinvested my dividends, the progress continues to be great!
A year ago my 12-month dividends for this account were $2,220.95, now they stand at $2,481.18. This is a nice 11.7% by simply following the script. I am not sure that I’ll be able to contribute to my Roth IRA anymore due to income, but I’ll know more around tax time for 2019. Until then, my dividends should allow me to make one purchase later on this year as the cash from dividends piles up.
Primary increase in this account is due to adding to my MO position along with a little raise from them and WMT.
In April 2018 my forward 12-month dividends for this account $1,246.90 and now they sit at $1,991.24. This is a significant 59.7% increase over the last year. But there’s good reason for this, I rolled over my old 401k into this account and made several purchases that will become apparent in the coming months as I update my income. This is excellent news as now this account will have the power of greater reinvestments than it previously had.
Large growth and big movement throughout my brokerage account. I sold out of many positions to fund a property purchase back in October 2018 and now I’m back to growing the account again. This will be my most exciting account going forward with significant capital infusions ahead.
Last year my forward 12-month dividends for this account were $581.87 and now it sits at $858.78 for a 47.6% increase. I am hoping that by the end of the year I can get that forward dividend number up to $1,500. At a 3.5% yield I’ll need to invest around $18,000 by the end of the year, hopefully I can get there.
In total, my dividend income for the month of April 2018 was $220.16. This year I was able to increase that income to $294.18. This is a 33.6% increase in income and excellent year over year growth. Things are chugging along.
Forward dividend income now sits at $5,331.20 up from $4,435.35 for a total increase of $895.85, or 20.2%. This is an increase for a full year so it is higher than I’d typically show month over month, but is still fun to map out.
I hope everyone has been well and I look forward to seeing everyone’s continued growth and progress.
